We were blessed with a little visit by a little bird today. We don't know why this gorgeous creature came into our lives but we do not need a reason to feel blessed.
Aw, how absolutely gorgeous! How tiny and happy he is, trusting and content there. The trust of a bird is a most incredible thing to experience, especially from the wild.
dweezeljazz - yes, it was an incredible experience to have the bird perched contently on my finger. he was free to go but he chose to stay, at least for a while.
sharon - sorry, I don't know what kind of bird he is. Might be a finch.
madwag - he stayed with us for about 10 minutes. he was given to us by a lady who rescued him from where he dropped on the road. I carried him, cradled in my hands, back to the car where we had left our camera. He did not struggle nor seem distressed or frightened. We took some shots, gave him some water to drink (which he did) and then he flew up on the tree. We were rather relieved that he flew, confirming that he was not injured. He was a gift to us ... for a moment. He came into our lives and stayed on in our hearts.

Hey this bird looks like a Munia, Chestnut Munia I think.
Can usually find them in groups at 'padi' fields. They steal rice :P
